20th Pauri of Japji: clear yourself from your misdeeds.

Do you know the moment when you do something awkward or you hurt someone’s feelings, or you make a tremendous mistake?
Or sometimes you are not even aware how you might be hurting someone or you just can’t help making a mistake?
What do you do? How do you clear yourself from this stain?

Guru Nanak has the answer for you in the 20th pauri.
You can cleanse yourself with connecting with your true light within you – with your Sat Nam

It’s not the end of the world if you make one or two mistakes. What matters is what you do continuously. Those things that you do every day will be remembered in your soul and in your karma and in the way others remember you.
He also makes a note about those people who do all the sweet talk, but their actions don’t match their words. Always look for repeated action that is what creates people.

You can also understand it from the standpoint of a conscious creator. For example, I could be saying that I am a writer but if I don’t write over and over, but instead I spend majority of my time working for someone else, then that is who I am.

“what seeds I sow
that food I will eat”

Allow yourself to meditate on this pauri and you will start living in your pure light without karma or drama.
