17th Pauri of Japji: freedom and resurrection.

In this pauri Guru Nanak is creating a positive image which is to invoke the power of the infinite. The image he is creating is of all those people who bow and worship the one God.

He describes various ways that people express their devotion.
He tries to say that everyone celebrates the Infinite in their own way.
It could be through fire ceremonies, it could be through love, through Yoga, through detachment from the mind, through philosophy, and even through going to war.

Everyone might have their own favorite expression of their devotion to God.
Guru Nanak is accepting all the ways.

In this way, he is not supporting claims of religions that want to exclude you because you are practicing “barbaric” customs. He wants to be inclusive to all forms of worship because no matter what, we will never be able to do Divine justice.
